Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Baccalaureate Supplementary Placement Results Are Out

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGÜ) has announced placement results for candidates who applied with International Baccalaureate (IB) exam scores. This announcement covers only baccalaureate applicants; separate placement rounds are run for those applying with TR-YÖS, SAT or other criteria.

Congratulations to all successful candidates.

How to Check Your Result

According to TOGÜ's official information, you can access your result in two ways:

  1. Through the application system. You can check your result on the university's international student application system: obs.gop.edu.tr/oibs/foa_app/
  2. By email. Application results are automatically sent to the email address you registered in the system during application.

If no email arrives, check your spam folder and log in to the application system to view your result directly.

The Acceptance Letter: The Most Critical Stage

Acceptance letters issued for placed candidates are obtained through the application system. Four points deserve attention in the university's explanation of the acceptance process:

  1. Acceptance letters are valid for 2 years. For associate and undergraduate programs, acceptance letters remain valid for two years. This gives considerable planning flexibility.
  2. The documents carry a YÖK ID number. Applying stamps, seals or signatures to acceptance letters is prohibited. Use your document as it is; do not try to have it certified.
  3. The acceptance letter is used for the visa application. You must apply for a student visa at the consulate using the acceptance letter generated by the university. Visa processes take time, so start the application as soon as you receive the document.
  4. Some candidates do not receive an acceptance letter. Candidates holding a Turkish ID Card, a Turkish Foreigner ID Card or a Blue Card who gain the right to study can come directly to the International Student Coordinatorship with the necessary registration documents, without an acceptance letter being issued.

Registration Procedures

TOGÜ's registration calendar works differently from many other universities and offers candidates a wide window.

According to the university's official information, registration dates for associate, undergraduate and graduate programs run from 1 July to 30 November. For graduate programs, registration can also be completed between 15 January and 31 March.

The critical warning here is this: registration dates are final and cannot be changed. You must also pay attention to the registration dates stated on your acceptance letter — although the general window is wide, your own document may specify a narrower range.

Registration can be completed in two ways:

  • In person, by the candidate
  • By notarised power of attorney, through a representative

The power of attorney option is a significant convenience for candidates whose visa process is taking longer or who have not yet been able to travel to Türkiye.

Documents Required at Registration

According to the university, at registration you must present the original copies of your diploma, transcript and exam result documents, along with their Turkish or English versions.

If you applied with the baccalaureate, have the original and the translation of your IB diploma and result document ready. Translation procedures can take time, so do not leave this preparation to the registration date.

A Serious Warning About Declared Information

TOGÜ's information carries an unambiguous warning. During registration, candidates must present the information and documents they declared during the application process accurately. If documents or information are found to be incorrect, incomplete or forged, the candidate's connection with the university is severed even if registration has already been completed.

Responsibility for the accuracy of information and documents uploaded to the application system rests entirely with the candidate. After the application period closes, candidates are not permitted to correct this information or these documents.

Not Placed? TOGÜ Opens Rounds Continuously

There is an important advantage for candidates not placed in this round. TOGÜ runs numerous placement rounds throughout the year, organised by different criteria and by country. The university's announcement archive shows baccalaureate, TR-YÖS, SAT and country-based placements opening separately and repeatedly.

So missing one round does not close the process. By following the International Student Coordinatorship's announcements page regularly, you can catch the next call that suits you.

Candidates have 5 different preferences for associate and undergraduate programs (3 for graduate programs). Using this allowance fully in your next application improves your chances.

We publish other universities' placement and supplementary placement announcements daily on our blog.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fee information is published on the university's international student page. Check the current amounts there before registering.

New to the Process?

Alongside the baccalaureate, TOGÜ also admits students with TR-YÖS and other international exams. To learn about the TR-YÖS process, see our guide to what TR-YÖS is, its exam structure and application process.

To estimate your score, use our TR-YÖS Score Calculator — the tool only estimates your score and does not show which universities will admit you.
