TR-YÖS (the Turkish Student Admission Examination for Students from Abroad) is a centralised university entrance exam organised by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) for international students who wish to study at associate or bachelor’s degree level at state and foundation universities in Turkey. Held to international standards and lasting a total of 100 minutes, TR-YÖS contains 80 questions in total — 40 on Quantitative Reasoning (IQ / Logic) and 40 on Basic Mathematics and Geometry — designed to measure candidates’ academic potential, and the results are treated as the main admission criterion in university applications.
