Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University 2026 Medicine and Dentistry Supplementary Placement Results Are Out

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) has announced the results of the supplementary placement opened for its Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry. Results can be checked through the university's application system: yos.alanya.edu.tr

We covered this university's fourth placement results previously; this announcement is a separate, special round covering only two faculties.

Congratulations to all successful candidates.

Why Was This Supplementary Placement Held?

The university's announcement dated 26 August 2026 explains the reason clearly, and it is an instructive example for international students.

Due to changes made to the academic calendars of the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, a supplementary placement was held to reassess the places vacated by candidates who had completed online pre-registration but confirmed they would not attend the university for physical final registration.

In other words, places left by candidates who pre-registered but then withdrew were opened to new applicants. That is an important lesson for anyone who thinks "I wasn't placed, so it's over": quotas can open up unexpectedly during the registration period.

Quota and Calendar

According to the university's announcement, 3 supplementary places were allocated to fill the vacated quotas:

  • Faculty of Medicine: 2 places
  • Faculty of Dentistry: 1 place

The application and result calendar:

  • Application dates: Monday 31 August – Friday 4 September, 12:00
  • Announcement of results: Friday 4 September, 17:00

Such a narrow quota shows how fierce the competition is. Medicine and dentistry are the two most sought-after programs among international students in Türkiye.

Documents Required at Registration

ALKÜ's document list is more extensive than at many other universities. Candidates who gain the right to register must submit the following to their academic unit's student affairs office on the dates stated in the acceptance letter:

  1. A printout of the acceptance letter bearing a QR code and verification link
  2. The original high school diploma or provisional graduation document with a Turkish translation certified by a notary or by Turkish foreign representations in the candidate's country
  3. An e-equivalency certificate — obtained from the Turkish Ministry of National Education or Turkish foreign representations, and verifiable
  4. A transcript covering the whole of secondary education — the original certified by the competent authorities plus a certified Turkish translation
  5. 1 passport photograph
  6. A notarised copy of the passport and its translation — for Turkish nationals, a photocopy of the identity card on presentation of the original
  7. An internationally valid foreign language and Turkish proficiency certificate — for candidates seeking exemption
  8. A detailed civil registration copy — from dual nationals born as foreign nationals who later acquired Turkish citizenship
  9. The Document on the Exercise of Recognised Rights and Blue Card — for those born as Turkish citizens who obtained permission to renounce citizenship
  10. The GCE AL result document with a certified Turkish translation — for TRNC nationals residing in the TRNC who completed secondary education there, and for those who enrolled at colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005 and 2010 and hold GCE AL results
  11. An entry-exit record — for Turkish nationals who completed all of high school abroad, obtained via passport or e-Devlet
  12. A health board report from a tertiary hospital
  13. A GSS document showing that General Health Insurance has been obtained from the Social Security Institution

Two Documents That Need Special Attention

1. The health board report.

This is a document many universities do not request, and it must be obtained from a tertiary hospital. Tertiary hospitals are generally university hospitals and training and research hospitals. Since appointments and reporting take time, start this immediately.

2. The e-equivalency certificate.

ALKÜ requires the equivalency certificate in verifiable e-equivalency format. Your document must be checkable. Consult the university's own "Equivalency Procedures" page for details.

Missing a Document? Up to 30 Days' Extra Time

This is an important provision at ALKÜ that works in the student's favour. The university's registration rules state:

Candidates who have deficiencies in the documents required for final registration due to force majeure are granted a maximum of 30 days' extra time by the student affairs officer conducting the registration, and this period is recorded in the OBS system.

But this is not an excuse to miss the deadline. The same rules carry a clear warning: candidates who do not register within the announced registration dates lose the right to register. The extra time applies only to candidates who attend registration with incomplete documents.

Departments and programs may also request special documents and information at final registration. Such requests are attached to the acceptance letters sent to candidates before placement, and extra time may be granted to obtain them.

Medicine and Dentistry Tuition Fees

In ALKÜ's published table of foreign national student contribution fees (2025-2026 period, for those registering from 2021 onwards), the amounts for these two faculties are:

  • Faculty of Medicine: ₺134,674.40 per instalment, ₺269,348.80 per year
  • Faculty of Dentistry: ₺98,897.85 per instalment, ₺197,795.70 per year

For comparison, other units in the same table:

  1. Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture: ₺69,063.50 per year
  2. Rafet Kayış Faculty of Engineering and Gazipaşa Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences: ₺54,865.10 per year
  3. Faculty of Health Sciences: ₺50,832.00 per year
  4. Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences: ₺41,458.40 per year
  5. Faculties of Education, Tourism and Sport Sciences: ₺36,853.20 per year
  6. Vocational schools: ₺27,622.50 per year (₺57,150.00 for second education)

As the table shows, medicine costs roughly ten times what vocational schools cost. Fees are paid in two instalments.

These figures belong to the 2025-2026 period; check the university's program fees page for 2026-2027 amounts. For a nationwide cost comparison, see our cost and scholarship guide.

If You Were Not Placed

How this supplementary placement came about shows just how fluid the process is: when candidates withdraw during the registration period, new quotas can open.

ALKÜ ran several placement rounds this academic year and also published a special talent exam announcement. Keep following the International Student Coordinatorship's announcements page.

Other universities also have application and placement rounds open during the same period; we publish these announcements daily on our blog.
