Anadolu University 2026 Second Placement Substitute Results Are Out

Anadolu University has announced its additional substitute placement results for international students in associate and undergraduate programs for the 2026-2027 academic year. According to the announcement dated 4 September 2026, results can be checked through the university's student information system: anasis.anadolu.edu.tr

Congratulations to all successful candidates.

Registration Calendar and Hours

  • Registration dates: 7-11 September 2026

The university's registration announcement describes a two-stage process:

  • Verification of conditions. Whether you meet the final registration conditions is verified by the International Relations Unit and the Student Affairs Department within the dates stated in the calendar.
  • In-person registration. Candidates who pass verification complete their registration in person during office hours (09:00-16:30) at the Student Affairs Department.

Registration address: Student Centre, Yunus Emre Campus, Tepebaşı/Eskişehir.

The office-hours restriction is an important detail. Plan to complete your registration before 16:30; arriving on the afternoon of the final day is risky.

Documents Required at Registration

The list published by the university:

  1. Acceptance letter
  2. Exam result document — TR-YÖS, SAT etc.
  3. Residence permit / passport / Turkish ID / Blue Card photocopy
  4. Multiple citizenship civil registration record — from Turkish nationals or dual nationals with Turkish citizenship
  5. Original high school diploma and its Turkish translation
  6. 1 colour photograph — 4.5x6.0 cm
  7. Financial guarantee commitment — to demonstrate that students coming from abroad have the means to sustain their higher education in Türkiye. It is signed as a printed petition at document submission.
  8. Turkish proficiency certificate — to begin programs taught in Turkish

The Equivalency Certificate: Not Required at Registration

This is a practice that sets Anadolu University apart from many others and considerably eases the burden on candidates.

The university's announcement states it plainly: the high school equivalency certificate does not have to be presented during registration. It must be submitted within 1 year of the start of studies.

Since equivalency procedures can run long, this significantly reduces registration pressure. But do not postpone on the basis that "there's a year" — the announcement states that documenting graduation from a school equivalent to Turkish high schools within the first year of study is mandatory.

Equivalency is processed by the Turkish Ministry of National Education. You must apply to the Provincial Directorate of National Education with:

  • The original high school education document
  • A transcript showing the courses taken in high school, how many hours per week each was, and the grades received

Turkish Proficiency Requirement: B2 Level

Foreign national students registering in a Turkish-taught program need a Turkish proficiency certificate to begin the program.

The accepted exams and level:

  • Anadolu TÖMER's "Anadolu Turkish Proficiency Exam"
  • The "Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS)" administered by the Yunus Emre Institute and other institutions approved by the Senate — its validity period must not have expired

In both cases you must have scored at B2 level according to the Common European Framework classification.

There is an important convenience here: students registering in programs taught entirely in a foreign language are not asked for any document regarding Turkish proficiency.

For information about Anadolu TÖMER, see tomer.anadolu.edu.tr. For how preparatory classes and language proficiency work in general, see our preparatory class and exemption guide.

The B2 requirement carries an advantage: while many universities demand C1, Anadolu accepts B2. For candidates with intermediate Turkish, that can mean saving a year.

How Is the Tuition Fee Paid?

The announcement gives clear guidance on payment:

  • Payment with the temporary foreigner ID number. Candidates paying online can do so using the temporary foreigner identity number (beginning with 9000) sent to their email address.
  • Payment with an existing foreigner ID number. Students who already hold a foreigner identity number can go to Ziraat Bank branches with that number or pay through the online payment system.

Check your email; your temporary foreigner ID number is there. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder.

The tuition fee Anadolu University charges international students is determined by the higher education institution in line with the Presidential Decision. Check the university's contribution fee page for current amounts. For a nationwide cost comparison, see our cost and scholarship guide.

On the Substitute List? The Process May Continue

This announcement concerns an additional substitute placement. In other words, the university has called candidates from the substitute list to fill places left by those on the main list who did not register.

That is encouraging for candidates still on the waiting list: new substitute calls can be made for places left vacant after the registration period. Check Anadolu University's announcements page and student information system regularly.

The university has also published an additional application calendar and an additional quota list for this period. We publish other universities' application and placement announcements daily on our blog.

What You Should Do Now

  1. Check your result at anasis.anadolu.edu.tr.
  2. Retrieve your acceptance letter and temporary foreigner ID number from your email.
  3. Pay your tuition fee — online or at a Ziraat Bank branch.
  4. Prepare the eight documents — excluding the equivalency certificate, which can be submitted within a year.
  5. Register in person between 7 and 11 September, within 09:00-16:30.
  6. If you were placed in a Turkish-taught program, prepare your B2-level proficiency certificate or apply for the Anadolu TÖMER exam.
  7. Apply for equivalency at the Provincial Directorate of National Education — submission within one year is mandatory.
