Selçuk University 2026-2027 Second Placement Applications Are Open
Selçuk University has opened supplementary placement applications for international students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Konya's largest university has opened quotas across a wide range of programs in this round.
The most striking feature of this announcement is the number of choices: candidates may select 10 different programs. That is a considerable advantage compared with the three- or five-preference universities we have covered previously.

Accepted Documents
Selçuk University accepts a broad range of documents: TR-YÖS, SAT, ACT, AP and the high school diploma. In other words, you can apply with your high school grade average even if you have not sat TR-YÖS — a flexibility not found at many universities.
TR-YÖS Thresholds
Thresholds are set by program group:
- Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Pharmacy: 400 points
- Faculty of Technology: 350 points
- Faculty of Law and Faculty of Education: 250 points
- Other undergraduate programs: a range of 200-500 points
- Associate degree programs: holding the TR-YÖS baseline score of 100 points
The notable point here is that Law and Education have a threshold of 250. At many universities law sits among the highest-threshold programs, whereas at Selçuk the bar for these two faculties is markedly lower. For candidates with mid-range scores this is a real opportunity.
The 100-point baseline for associate degree programs also opens an accessible door for students with limited scores and budgets. As explained in our earlier article, completing a vocational program and transferring to a bachelor's degree can be a realistic strategy.
Quotas: How Many Places in Which Programs?
The supplementary quota list published by the university is extensive. The headline programs and their quotas:
- Faculty of Medicine (6 years): 4 places
- Faculty of Dentistry (5 years): 9 places
- Faculty of Pharmacy (5 years): 10 places
- Faculty of Law (4 years): 10 places
- Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (5 years): 4 places
- Faculty of Nursing (4 years): 4 places
The Faculty of Technology also has strong quotas: Mechatronics Engineering 9, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering 10, Mechanical Engineering 8.
In the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Management has 9 places and Economics 6. The Faculty of Tourism offers between 3 and 5 places across Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Recreation Management, Tourism Management and Tourism Guidance.
The list also includes programs such as German Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature and Arabic Interpretation and Translation in the Faculty of Letters; Horticulture, Plant Protection, Food Engineering and Agricultural Economics in the Faculty of Agriculture; and Cartoon and Animation and Industrial Design in the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Watch Out for Campuses Outside the Centre
The quota list includes units outside central Konya. Since this directly affects your accommodation and transport plans, check before making your choices:
- Akşehir: Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (Management, Public Finance), Kadir Yallagöz Health School (Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing), Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) and Akşehir Vocational School
- Beyşehir: Ali Akkanat Faculty of Business Administration and Ali Akkanat School of Applied Sciences (Social Services)
- Çumra: School of Applied Sciences (Organic Agriculture Administration)
- Akören: Ali Rıza Ercan Vocational School (Logistics, Accounting and Tax Applications)
Teaching in these programs takes place in the relevant district, not in central Konya.
Beware of Programs with Zero Quota
Some programs appear in the list with a quota of 0 — for example Public Finance at Akşehir Vocational School. These programs are listed but are not admitting students in this round. Check the quota column item by item as you build your preference list, and do not waste a choice.
Having 10 preferences is an advantage; filling them with zero-quota programs or programs whose threshold you do not meet throws that advantage away.
Tuition Fees
Follow the university's official announcements for 2026-2027 tuition fees. Always check the current table before making any payment.

If You Are Not Placed in This Round
A point on Selçuk University's frequently asked questions page is encouraging for candidates who are not placed: after supplementary placements are made, applications for remaining vacant quotas may be accepted on the basis of scores from the exams specified in the directive and on secondary school diploma grade averages from all countries.
In other words, if quotas remain vacant after this round closes, a further application opportunity may arise. Keep following the university's announcements.

How to Apply
Applications are made online through the university's SÜYÖS system: suyos.selcuk.edu.tr
If you are using the system for the first time, you must complete pre-registration. You will be asked to enter a valid email address and to complete activation via the link sent to that address. After activation, you can log in as a candidate using the password sent to your email.
Clarify these points before applying:
- Which document you will apply with. TR-YÖS, SAT, ACT, AP or high school diploma.
- Whether you meet the threshold. Check the score requirement for the faculty you are targeting.
- All 10 of your preferences. Fill the list with programs that have quotas and whose thresholds you meet.
- Your campus preference. Central Konya or a district?
