Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University 2026-2027 Third Placement Applications Are Open
Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University (EBYÜ) has opened third-round international student applications for the 2026-2027 academic year. We covered this university's second placement results previously; the third round runs under the same guide.
Application Calendar
- Application dates: 3-8 September 2026
- Announcement of results: 14 September 2026
- Pre-registration dates: 14-18 September 2026
- Final registration dates: 14 September – 15 November 2026
Candidates may make 5 preferences.
The final registration window extending to 15 November is a significant advantage. The university's guide sets the final registration deadline as 15.11.2026, which offers real relief to candidates whose visa process runs long.

The guide warns clearly: applications submitted by hand or by post are not evaluated.
Accepted Documents and Minimum Scores
EBYÜ accepts a wide range of exams and diplomas. The main criteria and minimum scores in the guide:
- High school diploma grade (secondary school achievement score): For candidates whose national education system has no high school leaving exam, the equivalent of the secondary school achievement score in the 100-point system must be at least 60/100. Validity: unlimited.
- SAT I: A total of at least 1000/1600 and a mathematics score of at least 600/800. Valid for 2 years.
- ACT: At least 21/36 in each of Mathematics, Science Reasoning and Composite. Valid for 2 years.
- TQDK (Azerbaijan State Examination Centre): A total of at least 300/700 across the two-stage exam. Valid for 2 years.
- TAWJIHI (Jordan and Palestine): An average of at least 70/100 across all subjects in the Scientific Stream. Unlimited.
- Lebanese Baccalaureate: An average of at least 13/20 in the exam relevant to the chosen department (65/100 in the 100-point system). Unlimited.
- IB (International Baccalaureate): A diploma score of at least 28/42. Unlimited.
- GAOKAO (China): At least 500/750 in the score type for the chosen program. Valid for 2 years.
The Syrian Baccalaureate also appears on the list. TR-YÖS and GCE A-Level are among the accepted documents too. For the full list and current thresholds, consult the university's application guide.
The option to apply with a high school diploma grade is an important door for candidates who have not sat an exam — the 60/100 threshold is more accessible than many universities' minimums.
Evaluation Is Two-Stage
According to the guide, applicants undergo a two-stage evaluation process. At the preliminary stage, candidates' documents are checked for compliance with the application conditions by officials of the International Student Admission Commission.
The warnings in the guide:
- Photographic identity is mandatory. Identity documents without a current photograph of the candidate, and passports whose validity has expired, are not accepted.
- Responsibility rests with the candidate. The candidate is responsible for the accuracy of application information and the suitability of the photograph. Applications with unsuitable, incomplete or incorrect information or documents are treated as invalid.
- Original documents must be presented. If you gain the right to register, you must present the original and/or notary- or embassy-certified copy of every document uploaded during application.
- False declarations forfeit rights. If the declared information or documents are found not to be true, the candidate loses all rights obtained.
Documents to Upload at Application
Documents are uploaded as scanned PDFs. They may be in Turkish or English; documents in other languages must be uploaded with a notarised translation.
- Biometric photograph taken within the last six months
- The identity and photograph pages of a valid passport — candidates without a passport may use an identity card, driving licence or birth certificate issued by official authorities in their country
- High school diploma — those without one upload a provisional graduation document
- Transcript
- Exam result document (according to your application criterion)
Candidates with a change of name or nationality must upload a detailed civil registration copy or name equivalency document. In case of a nationality change, the first nationality must be documented.
Tuition: Two Instalments and an Important Safeguard
EBYÜ's guide contains a clear provision that protects students:
In EBYÜ's application and final registration processes, no fee is demanded under any name other than the announced tuition fee.
So be cautious of any individual or intermediary asking you for money under names such as application fee or file fee. The only payment the university requires is the announced tuition.
Other rules on the fee structure:
- Two instalments. The annual tuition fees set by the university are paid in two instalments before the autumn and spring terms of the relevant academic year begin.
- First instalment before registration. Newly registering students must have paid the first instalment before registration procedures.
- Non-payment. Action is taken regarding students who do not pay or underpay the tuition fee, scholarship students excepted.
- Türkiye Scholarships students. For students whose fees are covered by YTB, the tuition amount is that listed in the schedules annexed to the relevant Presidential Decision and is paid by YTB.
- Those acquiring Turkish citizenship. International students placed under the international quota who later acquire Turkish citizenship continue to pay tuition.
Refund rule: Students who cancel their registration of their own accord, those who pay the fee but give up their place, those who cannot obtain a visa, and those found to have applied with forged documents are not refunded.

Turkish Proficiency: B2 Is Enough, Exam Held Three Times a Year
Candidates placed in programs taught 100% in Turkish must document their Turkish proficiency at the registration stage.
The guide is clear on accepted certificates: the university accepts Turkish proficiency certificates obtained from the Yunus Emre Institute and from relevant units of state or foundation universities recognised by the Council of Higher Education. Certificates obtained outside these institutions are not valid.
For those without a certificate: Candidates who do not hold a current B2 or C1 level certificate at registration must sit the Turkish language proficiency exam held by Erzincan TÖMER at least three times a year (at the start of the autumn term, mid-year and at the end of the academic year).
The exam has 5 sections: Reading Comprehension I, Reading Comprehension II, Listening, Writing, Speaking. Score ranges and outcomes:
- A1 (00.00-34.00): Fail
- A2 (35.00-49.00): Fail
- B1 (50.00-59.00): Fail
- B2 (60.00-74.00): Pass
- C1 (75.00-89.00): Pass
- C2 (90.00-100): Pass
Candidates must score at least 60% in each individual section of the exam.

For English-taught programs, foreign language ability is determined through a proficiency and placement exam.
Health Insurance Is Mandatory
As stated in the guide, international students admitted to EBYÜ must hold valid health insurance in order to reside in Türkiye.
The guide also reminds candidates that providing the means to live in Türkiye throughout their studies — accommodation, food, books and stationery, personal needs and so on — is the student's own responsibility. Students who gain the right to register are deemed to have accepted this responsibility.
If You Are Not Placed in This Round
The guide contains an important note: if quotas are not filled in the first announcement, the application calendar is updated with each new announcement.
Furthermore, after registration procedures are complete, making supplementary placements for quotas left vacant because successful candidates did not register — and changing the evaluation criteria in those placements — is at the university's discretion.
