Mardin Artuklu University 2026 First Placement Results Are Out
Mardin Artuklu University has announced its first placement results for international students for the 2026-2027 academic year. The results cover programs admitting students on the basis of the YÖS score and have been published on the university's Student Affairs Department page.

Final Registration Calendar
- Final registration: 31 August – 4 September 2026
- Special talent exam (Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Physical Education and Sports): To be set by the departments
- Turkish proficiency exam (TÖMER): To be set by TÖMER
- Classes begin: 21 September 2026
As the university's announcement states plainly: students who do not or cannot complete final registration within these dates lose their right to register. The registration window is very short, so completing your documents without delay is critical.
How and Where Registration Takes Place
Registration is not online — it is done in person. Candidates must bring the originals of the required documents to the following address:

The announcement also carries this warning: application, evaluation and placement results are published on the official website of the Student Affairs Department and no separate notification is sent to candidates. In other words, do not wait for an email or message — you must follow the announcements yourself.
Documents Required at Final Registration
The list published by the university is as follows:
- TR-YÖS result document (mandatory for departments entered with a YÖS score)
- High school diploma — original and Turkish translation (a Turkish copy certified by the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in the student's country, or a notarised Turkish translation)
- High school transcript — under the same certification requirement
- Original equivalency certificate — confirming graduation from a secondary institution equivalent to Turkish high schools (obtained from the Turkish Embassy, Consulate or the Ministry of National Education, or a notarised Turkish translation)
- Student-annotated passport — certified Turkish copy or notarised translation; or a Temporary Protection Identity Document
- Residence permit document — must be submitted within 2 months of the final registration date
- 2 passport photographs — taken within the last 6 months, 4.5 x 6 cm
- Receipt of tuition payment — to be paid during the course registration period
- GSS (general health insurance) document — not required from Syrian nationals whose Temporary Protection Identity Documents are active
Three Critical Points to Watch
- The two-month residence permit deadline. Students who fail to submit the residence permit document within two months of registration have their registration cancelled by decision of the relevant unit's board. Likewise, registered students must present a foreigner identity number (YKN) or Temporary Protection Identity Document within 2 months of registration. Start this process the moment registration is complete.
- Translation and certification of documents. The diploma, transcript, equivalency certificate and passport all require a "certified Turkish copy or notarised Turkish translation". These procedures take time, so handling them before you leave your home country is the safest approach.
- False or incomplete documents. The announcement is explicit: anyone found to have submitted incomplete, incorrect, altered or forged documents during application, placement or registration will have their registration cancelled even if it has already been completed, and legal proceedings will be initiated.
An Important Note on Tuition Fees
The university's announcement states that the international student tuition table on its page belongs to the 2025-2026 period and will be updated once the Presidential Decision setting 2026-2027 tuition fees is published.

Not Placed? The Process Is Not Over
This is the most important information for international students. The university's announcement includes the following note:
After final registrations, re-placement will be carried out for the remaining vacant quotas among candidates who made preferences but were not placed in any program. No separate application is required.
So if you made preferences but were not placed in this round, you are automatically included in the re-placement evaluation — you do not need to apply again. A new placement will be made according to the quotas left vacant after the registration period.
